This policy details how we collect, use, process, disclose, and store personal data that you provide when using our websites, purchasing our hosting systems (including NVMe VPS, Dedicated Servers, Colocation, and Web Design services), or interacting with our technical staff.

To provide high-quality virtual private servers, dedicated servers, and server colocation solutions, AwanPrime needs to collect key identifying and financial details from our users. This personal data includes, but is not limited to:

  • Identity Information: Name, National Registration Identity Card (NRIC) number, passport number (for foreign clients), company registration details, and business designations.
  • Contact Information: Billing address, physical delivery address, email addresses (for billing, primary profile, and tech contact), and phone numbers.
  • Financial details: Banking institution details, billing transcripts, credit/debit card numbers, transaction history, and associated payment records.
  • Technical & System Information: IP addresses, browser agents, access times, system resource configurations, virtual machine names, bandwidth usage, and active SSH key logs.

When you browse our portal, we automatically track server logs and browser cookie variables for security audits and UI configurations.

Affiliates & Third Parties

4 Purposes of Processing Personal Data

Your personal data is collected and processed by AwanPrime for essential business purposes. We do not sell or trade your personal data. Processing purposes include:

  1. Service Delivery: To provision hosting space, activate NVMe virtual private servers, allocate public IP addresses, and configure network routing.
  2. Financial Processing: Processing billing requests, managing outstanding balances, sending invoices, and administering taxes or corporate accounting records.
  3. Customer Support: Responding to client enquiries, diagnosing technical server faults, updating root permissions, and resolving networking dropouts.
  4. Network Security: Auditing user logins to prevent unauthorized access, scanning IP networks for DDoS attacks, and ensuring systems are compliant with Malaysian security laws.
  5. Regulatory & Legal Compliance: Complying with directions from governmental and enforcement authorities like the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) and police agencies.

7 Retention of Personal Data

We do not retain your personal data longer than necessary for legal or operational purposes:

  • Accounting & Tax Records: Retained for a mandatory duration of seven (7) years in compliance with LHDN regulations and the Malaysian Companies Act 2016.
  • Active Account Data: Retained for the active duration of your hosting subscription.
  • Terminated Account Records: System configuration profiles and backups are permanently purged within twenty-four (24) months post-termination of your service contract.

8 Your Legal Rights Under PDPA

Under the Personal Data Protection Act 2010, you hold clear rights regarding how we process your personal data. These rights include:
